| | 05/07/2014 | Twycross 2 | 26-10 | 4 | | Long Whatton 2 | 146-8 | 30 | After being put into bat by Twycross ,Long Whatton made a slow start and gloom descended over the changing room as wickets tumbled quickly and at 45 for 5 we were looking down the barrel of a loaded gun. But cricket is a funny old game Cometh the hour cometh the man. Jack Paisley entered the arena and a 50 odd knock in quick time supported by Mark Fieldhouse 39 no. Long Whatton finished with a respectable 136 which gave us something to bowl at. A reinvigourated and pumped up LW took to the field and exploded into Tywcross.
Fantastic bowling from our veteran Mark Taylor left them dead in the water. Twycross were all out for just 26 runs. Taylor finishing with figures of 8 wickets at a loss of 10 runs. Brilliant brilliant performance. | 11878615 |
